A Southern kitchen generations in the making

Classic dishes, modern touches

Tonya’s Cafe and Bakeshop is a Southern food destination.

Stop by for classic dishes with modern touches for breakfast, lunch, or early dinner and visit our Bakeshop for freshly baked cakes, pies, cookies and other desserts. We’re serving family recipes like our famous fried chicken or catfish, chicken and pastries, and delicious Southern sides from collards and black eye peas to mac and cheese and cornbread. Everything is cooked fresh and from the heart.

A Delicious
Family Legacy

We’re carrying on a family tradition started by my grandmother, the late Mildred Council who opened Mama Dip’s Kitchen in 1976.

You’ll see some of her classic dishes on our menu, along with my own interpretations and recipes created for how we eat today. Come hungry!

All-day sweet tooth

Save Room for Dessert.

No trip to the Cafe is complete without browsing the Bakeshop, where you’ll find freshly-baked desserts, our famous Tonya’s Cookies, and artisanal products from the South that make for a perfect gift. The Bakeshop creates custom cakes and pies for birthdays and other special occasions and is known to satisfy your sweet tooth morning through evening.
